This Palm Springs private family compound consists of three villas - a great place to stay for an extended family, for couples, for groups of friends, for golf trips, delivering just the right combination of togetherness and privacy!
California Way is a includes 3 properties on one spacious private lot: The Lodge, The Cottage and The Cabana — 3 unique abodes with 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms total — nestled together on a spacious lot that offers sensational mountain views.
The centerpiece, for blissful lounging in the sun, is a gorgeous new swimming pool, with a delightful tanning shelf at one end and plenty of depth for splashing or lap swimming. Between the pool and the Cottage, a California style round in-ground whirlpool spa beckons. There is also a large cold plunge pool located adjacent to The Lodge.
Elegant square and circular shapes offer an abundant variety of spaces for seating, sunning and conversation. There are numerous sets of outdoor tables & chairs for conversation and dining, adjoining both the swimming pool and the splash pool.
Indoors, the principal gathering area for California Way is the Great Room at The Lodge, a sprawling living and dining area, decorated in splashy reds and yellows, with a beautiful stone fireplace and seating for up to 16. One dining table in the great hall room seats up to 10. Another table in the great room foyer seats 6.
The Lodge has been featured in The New York Times as an example of the quintessential indoor-outdoor Palm Springs style home, and features modernist furnishings by iconic 20th century designers including Charles Eames and George Nelson.
For a quieter mood, try the stylish living room of The Cottage, decorated in crisp whites with soothing aqua blue accents. This charming Palm Springs bungalow was completely updated in 2010.
The Lodge has a spacious eat-in kitchen for preparing your meals, in addition to a complete galley kitchen at The Cottage, which features gleaming new stainless appliances. And there are two gas grills on premises if you're in the mood for BBQ!
The sleeping arrangements are ideally situated for maximum privacy. The Lodge sleeps 6, including a large master suite with King bed, walk-in closet, private bath with a splendid sunken tub and shower. Two additional Queen bedrooms and 1.5 baths make up a second wing,
The Cottage sleeps up to 7 guests; in addition to a King and a Queen bedroom, the Twin bedroom sleeps up to 3 persons , with two Twins plus a trundle bed. The two updated baths offer fresh new tile, new pedestal sinks and other all-new facilities.
The 7th & 8th bedrooms are located in The Cabana, adjacent to the plunge pool. One bedroom has a Queen bed and sleeper sofa, the second cabana bedroom has two twin beds (and must be accessed via the first cabana bedroom). The two cabana bedrooms are connected and share direct (yet private) access to the bathroom.
The property has plenty of parking, and in Winter mature orange and grapefruit trees provides delicious fruit.

The Palm Springs California Way property is a combination of two side-by-side privately owned properties on one lot, with three separate buildings; the properties also can be rented separately/individually. The Lodge is the largest of the properties, also called California Contemporary. The Poolside Cottage is a charming and bright and open caretaker's cottage. The Pool House is the pool house to the California Contemporary property. All three are owned by the same family and are newly available for rent in combination as of 2010.

2 large pools, one heated, one cold plunge pool. Both large enough for swimming or lounging in the sun.
Both pools are large. The Cottage pool is the largest, rectangular at 15 x 30, with a shallow end called a "tanning shelf" for wading and lounging in the water.
The Lodge cold plunge pool is an oval shaped "freeform" and is wide and deep.
Both The Lodge and The Cottage have outdoor in-ground whirlpool tubs. The Cottage in-ground whirlpool spa is heated; the Lodge in-ground whirlpool is cool/cold depending on time of year and not heated.
Professional Cool Mist System - poolside at The Lodge - cools the outside summer air by approx 20 degrees!
Each house has shaded porches and overhead shade strutures and umbrellas
